Welcome to the
Decatur Quilters Guild
The Decatur Quilters Guild is a not-for-profit organization, which strives to spread the art of quilting to all who are interested. Members do many charity projects, such as making quilt for wounded soldiers returning from war, quilts for Project Linus, as well as charity quilts which are given to a non-profit organization to help them in their fund-raising efforts. The Decatur Quilters Guild also provides mini-quilt shows to area nursing homes and is also a participant in the National Quilt Day.
Patriotic Mystery Project
Our evening group had a wonderful meeting this week, making a "Mystery" patriotic project all evening. (hover over the image for a hint...)
Karen Linduska visits the Guild
Guild members recently enjoyed two days of classes with Fiber Artist Karen Linduska. Participants learned to use the wonderful decorative stitches in their sewing machines and manipulate them to make gorgeous art quilts.

Decatur Quilters Guild Welcomes Bonnie Hunter
The Guild was honored to have Bonnie Hunter as a lecturer and teacher for our Spring Luncheon in May. Bonnie's ideas for stash usage have all of us scrambling to cut strips out of our mounds of stash and to get busy making quilts! Just remember...if it's still ugly, you didn't cut it small enough!! Thanks, Bonnie!
Quilt Fest 2010
Quilt Fest has come to a close and we're gathering pictures and data to put on the website. Thank you to all of our visitors, vendors, speaker John Flynn, members, and member's spouses for making Quilt Fest 2010 "30 Years and Still Quilting" a success. We couldn't do it without you!
